In addition to his work as a tenured professor of film at Chapman University's Dodge College of the arts, John has taught at workshops and film festivals skills, tips and methods for filmmaking to the next generation of talented directors. In addition to directing, he also works with Chapman acting students, giving them on camera experience which can be quite different from working on the stage. Every year he supervises an acting showcase to premiere this new talent to Hollywood casting directors.
